Sir. I scanned the tranny today and it returned code 12 (for now) Can I drive with the jumper attached to look for hidden codes or just put her under load and everything and then scan her?

Thanks!!

i think you can scan at any time. its harmless.
the OD is flashing 12s?

the car you can have ECU and TCm jumped and drive,
only exception is driving with spark timing freeze, jumped. overheats the CAT.
on the 1996 they added a DTC, failure to remove freeze jumper.... to warn you.

keep in mind failures can happen at anytime, and be intermittant at any time, even a small bump in the road, can cause a connection to fail.
or a clutch in the tranny to slip and bam, output sensor error.

So far in the first test OD flashed and gave me good ol 12. I found something that mentioned as a possible cause for late/delayed shifting but have to get it to show it to you. It was from an FSM page regarding tranny troubleshooting. Another thing I saw or read was that when car idles highs once you engage the tranny on drive it makes a light clunk sound letting you now that she is in gear?

Will have to read a bit more and test even more.

Cheers!!

No I have not done them all. Will try the other test plus the driving around with jumper in. I'm curious about the stall test. You mention that if it fails it saves a lot of guessing work on whats wrong with the tranny, although you also mentioned that it must be a quick test about 5 secs or so and wait a while to retest to avoid damage to tranny.

Will let you know.

Good day sir.

2 Questions about the home tranny flush. 1) Can I put the new filter before the third flush and fill, risks about it? 2) Do the drain is with a cold tranny or it has to be hot?

Thanks in advance.
