Title:  Prerequisites for  and Idle issues, testing or setting idle?    
If these conditions happen.  Idle speeds may go wonky. (out of control)
  • Engine runs poorly.
  • Engine misfires.
  • Spark bad, weak or misfiring.
  • Spark timed wrong.
  • Cam timed wrong. (the cam belt is good for 60,000 miles, running it to 100k is a wild idea,  but common .
  • EGR stuck open causing low IDLE as low as 400 rpm and causes misfire and the engine shakes like a wet dog (LOL)
  • lean fueling causes engine to slow , bog, and is a fueling issues. (low fuel pressure.
