problem with TPS sensor

Hello,I found a second-hand TPS sensor,since mine is in bad condition, the problem is that it belongs to a suzuki samurai but it is the same as the one I have installed, 4 same wires colors.would have some problem placing it on my vita,thanks a greeting

if it bolts on and fits and the wires can be connected right IT WILL WORK
TPS cracked inside or worn carbon path inside will not work . the wires are connected just like this.

Hey, buddy!! you can see if you can help me, there's some way to be able to regulate the TB screws, one of them carries a spring that regulates relenti, is there? and the other is the one that is in contact with the dashpot, and it seems that it contains some white paint but has no fortuit, I think they have been modified, I appreciate your good help, a greeting

both are covered in the manual, FSM. (factory service manual, and on my Duty cycle page)

 the dash pot is set hot engine at 2500 RPM that screw. on the DP is set buy forcing the DP to go active, on hot running engine.

the TB base TV screw is for setting ISC duty cycle only !
the ECU is hard coded for hot 800rpm and can not be changed, only the duty cycle can be set to 50% (no idle up commands active, like AC off, head lamps off, and blower off and defrost off)

1980/90 G16 right?  1.6liter engine RIGHT>?

no lie, finding 31 year old manuals are not easy, (ebay has them if you keep and set a watch searched there, waiting...)
but this site here new shows it. (not tried by me but here it is)

tps calibration is after you do Dutycycle first ( at TV stop screw) (TV = throttle valve)

duty cycle is set with the TV stop screw. (
this can be done with a volt meter on DC volts across the 2 ISC wire pins, set to 7vdc running, (1/2 alternator output is 14/2=7v)
this is if you do not own a DUTY cycle meter, this above method.

Hot engine, 82C.
activate the Dash pot with hand vacuum tool vacuum nipple to the tool  (the never touch screw TV only applies to 91 and newer G16 TBI engines)
on this car there is no idle air bleed screw so must be adjusted (all things relate) form the 1989/90 books not newer cars. oK?

  1. spark timing must be right first (it effects RPM) SO IS FIRST.
  2. hot engine not cold.

  3. set Duty cycle first.  this makes 800 rpm regulation work right.

  4. then TPS Calibration next, as the above step changes this on 89/90 only cars. 91 the bleed screw made all this more easy.

  5. last set Dash pot adjustment.
working on any car and no manual is super hard work. why work blind?  89/90 car is not like 91 up. sorry not. nor the G13 is carburetor car here USA.
in 1991 the TBI throttle body changed radically as did the new ECU and matching new electronic advancing distributor, totally unlike any 89/90.


the dash pot only seen on 8valve TBI engine is short duration, 15 to 30 seconds cold start fast idle device, a vacuum servo motor it is.
and is covered how to set it in all FSM 89 to 95 , 8valve engines (unchanged this one part device. 16valve has no such DP device. nor does  the G13 USA 89 carb engine)

tips to tune up any G16 this old. 31 years old. manuals are rare.
spark plug gap at 0.028" 0.71mm
set the Distributor VR sensor gap. seen in link below.
hot engine, not cold.
set it to the timing advance value seen on the under hood sticker of the car, USA< outside USA , it is about -8Degree's. BTDC.
the steps on 89/90 are not like newer 8valve engines at all, use the 89book only. https://fixkick.com/IGN_timing/89-timing.html
then set duty cycle per same manual, see my link per above. (ISC calibration this is) and a DC volt meter can work well. 50% = 7vdc at ISC pins
and then set the idle switch closure, called TPS calibration, it really is just the idle switch closure setting for sure.
and last if ever at all,? adjust the Dashpot. screw, using above photo rules.

during all that , no electrical loads as as the FSM book states means. (no huge alternator loads in truth)
no A.C. ON. (air conditioning)
no head lamps on
no heater blower on.
no rear defrost glass heaters on.
no load we say, just engine running only load.


the screw far far low on the TB is the idle stop TV screw for dutycycle setting
the screw just behind the dashpot is just for it.
