Fixkick, just saw your response too late. I already ordered one from PartsGeek. They listed one for 1995 Geo Tracker - Vin 6 - .475” rotor cam.

I’ve been searching for a couple of hours and this is the only one that seems to be correct. I hope it is, if not I’ll return it.

but B58 is correct
spectra SZ08 is 16v vin code U. ccw rotation.

my 91, 8v is 3pin distrib. marked 56B not 58b

vin 6 is correct,
4 pin, only
1991 will not fit.
ccw rotation. not CW like 8v.

nothing clear there at all, 4pin yes, nor do they ask for engine valve count and matters most.

Hmmm, mine is a 3-pin. Oh well, I’ll just have to wait and see. Again, thanks for the help.

Ended up getting and installing a used distributor from Trail Tough (they're just a few miles from my house). Installed new Bosch dizzy cap and rotor (only goes on one way). Timed dizzy to tdc firing on number one cylinder (rotor pointing to number 1 cylinder with lock-down bolt in middle of adjustment window, same as the dizzy that I broke and had to replace).

New radiator, hoses, thermostat etc.

Put everything back together. Filled radiator with water and flush solution.

Started engine and rpm (reading from tach in dashboard, not the most accurate, I know) went to 1800 and climbed to over 2000 in less than a minute. I wasn't happy with that so shut the engine down.

Reading the Fixkick page suggested a dirty ISC valve. I removed it for cleaning but see no way of dis-assembling it?

I should also note that the stop for the throttle cable has no clearance between the adjustment screw and stop. I'm wondering if P.O. may have adjusted this to compensate for low idle due to poor state of tune?

Also, read trouble codes. No issues, showing code 12.

Any suggestions?

isc can only be tickled with a tooth pick or plastic rod (deep into port) in hand, and flushed with carb cleaner or MAF cleaner or the lick
make sure it can move about 1/4" and close by its own spring,
and opens for 1second test with 12vdc across pins. short test or coil overheats.
cable clearance is 10mm (slack) per 96 manual same on all these cars. 3sp kickdown cable way more tricky and can jam.
2000 is to fast for cold, 1200-1500 is par (ISC does that cold)
then hot restarts are just tad over 800 rpm the quicky drops to 800 dash. tacho, more than good enough.

Cleaned out the ISC with carb cleaner, did the 1-second test across pins with 12v battery, valves moves quickly and returns with spring pressure. Looks good to me.

Accelerator cable adjustment page (6C-12) is missing in my ‘95 Tracker Factory Service Manual. Finding lots of incorrect and missing items in the FSM!

I’m not sure I understand about accelerator cable adjustment. Do you mean ten millimeters of play (up and down movement) in the cable itself? I’m trying to adjust at the adjuster screw with locknut. Is there supposed to be clearance there? Page is missing in my FSM.

Set gap at .200 inch, cleaned carbon around throttle plate. Of course now the idle is too low but at least I know what it needs for correct idle. Progress!
