still not one mention of a new filter yet..... why?

6 months later the trans does that and not shifts late.

Then my bad in describing. I used late/delay because it takes too long for the car too move but once in D it does all speed changes properly, and is only the first start of the morning. Takes about 5 minutes for car to move/engage. I did the road test and all gear change at the proper intervals. Need to do the manual and pump test.

Sorry for the confusion.

R used to fail about a year ago. Now it engages instantly. Filter was replaced about a year ago. Can pump be replaced/serviced? Or is a whole new tranny? Like I said before, she shifts normally after that. Even if car off for 4+ hours or even more. Is just the very first morning run.

check pressure at the pressure test ports. , see the fsm pages,
http://www.acksfaq.com/pdfs/FSMsq416_1of2.pdf

page 7b1-27, see that?

off my 03-72LE page.
Here is a better book date 2000' , a real Suzuki book with real diagnostic charts. Extensive on car tests. Read this first.
G16, 4speed, line presssure, is:
D-idle=55-63psi., D-stall=166-188psi, R-idle= 73-81psi, and r-stall=202-237

Stall data: Drive or Reverse.

When you remove oil pan there are a bunch of oil lines, are these the pressure test ports that you refer? I still need to the stall test. One of the possible reasons (not saying that is the cause) is if a ball somewhere in the valve body, was dropped. I changed this filter a year ago, but I don't remember seeing anything like that. Will check when I replace filter again.

the 92-98 , 03-72LE tranny's are all the same. so all books read, the same, every one.

here is the tests , here, page 72

yours will fail the stall test, the RPM goes it NO LIMIT, so slips.
really the stall test. must work or the RPM flies why high.. it only takes 5second to do the stall test. but it fails. and the 2nd step
in the book above is what, the line pressure tests.

i bet that fails too. if not the failure is even deeper...and way harder to find.

OK. I will. Going over what she does. She does moves after warming up and shifts normal at the specified speed intervals. Is only the first morning run.

Thanks!
