2001 Chevy Tracker - Struts and Shocks
#1
I think it's time to replace my shocks and struts.

Can anyone tell me if any BilStein options would work, or other recommendations?

When I had a 1994 sidekick, I went with old man emu front struts, and pro-comps from a ford escape. But those were slightly longer than stock for a lift.

not modified or lifted? stock wheels/tires. ?
2001 tracker,  2 door or 4?  2.0L or the V6?  2.5L V6, is a more heavy engine, up front... but seems ok,  this.
got ABS ? ( matters)
front or rear or all 4?  and lefts and rights and rears are 4 part numbers. as are ABS

the autostore is no help?  they sure can,.!!

did you look at rockauto.com  first

front struts. good this.
KBY shows same struts both engines, to that is good.
BilStein??? they said no.

so read their Ecatalog yet./ makers web stite
they show no TRACKERS

1994 cars are not 2001,   for sure ABS missing 94.

According to my mechanic, the KYB Shocks and Struts from Rock Auto worked fine.

He found CV axel needed replaced 2001/140K.

Went to drive to mechanic and the transmission cable gave way, but he got that going but recommended a new cable.

+new pads on the front + rotors, the back brakes were done when the seals on the back axel started to leak last year.

I should just buy a new Bronco!! Only thing stopping me is a lack of money.

Replacing the shock and struts made a huge deference (for the better).
