no spark , on a 90 is easy , no ECU , in a 90 makes spark.
no spark at the coil, check at the coil first, not spark plugs.
if coil spark is ok, then the distrib is timed all wrong or rotor fell off.
fuses first. "IG-COIL" fuse good.
the distributor and coil do all the spark all by them selves.
in side the distrib it a VR coil that must work then it drives inside same distributor an ignitor (transistor) that charges the coil.
check the fuse.
does the dash have a tachometer, this device sits in the coil if the brown white wire goes dead so does the tach, 300 rpm would be the rpm you get cranked. ( .3 on the dial 1 is the fist mark so it only move up a tiny bit)cranked
wired loose to coil/distirbutor and suppressor?
check coil primary ohms ? must read low. 1 to10 ohms. IIRC
you said
no fire, but it takes spark and fuel to make fire. fire is combustion of fuel. so do you mean there is no fuel......"?
btw: the ECU does detect on spark and cuts fuel instantly, on all cars with EFI. or even 89/90.
it also trips DTC 41 (code 41 means ignitor dead) or coil burned open primary or supressor fell off.
