What prevents a Sidekick from our years(or any car) to reach 180F?
#11
Mine uses the rubber gasket. I got it last year (the Felpro one under your part list) along with the other Stat, the 180F. Ill check the box, as I kept it.

good !
that is a deep well stat engine, 1992 to 1994 REVISION changes, (i have VINs that comply but the well pit is easy to see..)

simple rule,
4mm lip gets rubber ring
1mm lib paper gasket only.
is in my engine over heats page, endless there.... and a didicated FRIGID page. my search box finds that.

So that means I can run the Stant 13959 rated at 195F? Rockauto has it.

sure , there are 3 thermostats that fit. up to 3. from many makers.
there is the 192F too. by some makers.
the EPA only certified the engine, for 180F, so like in places like CALIF, they dont allow it there at all... very strict there.
even suzuki used to sell 3 temps sizes.

Found the 195F T-Stat for $7! Good deal right? Delivered straight home, USPS. I keep doing the crossreferencing with makers own part list to verify against ebay's vendor chart.

now we are off topic,
injectors and 180F?

why not learn to read Ecatalogs
all makers of all after market parts, all have an on line catalog
Google finds this in 1 sec.flat

use those, or waste vast cash and shipping 3 ways, on wrong parts.
I told you,
that suzuki uses 1 vin (code 0) for 2 engines. guess what cars stores have yet to learn that, and guess. a fact and a horror.
same with SUZUKI J18 car, sells wrong parts every where.
so learn to use Ecatalogs. they and only they are authoritative.

I forgot to mention, I was implementing your way. Thats how I made sure.

a good deal, is low cost, low shipping, and works right.
Mine is free shipping. The working right Ill let you know. There is always a risk factor.

use the ecatalogs.

here is a search

GOOGLE "stant ecatalog)

https://www.google.com/webhp?gws_rd=ssl#...t+ecatalog

is this hard???? using google, to find things like this.??
use those. and win.

but even catalogs have error's I send them complaints all the time, and they get better
i tell them you need to put
KV
KC
16v
8v
on every part
or 2wd, or 4wd, or 2 door or 4 door, where applicable.
many do now... and this can take forever in autostores to WAKE UP ! < i never trust any auto store listed DATA, ever. (unless i walk in and then see its wrong and walk out,, what a waste of gas , no?)

Oh it is indeed an original Stant part. At least from pictures. Ill let you know when it gets here. BTW as we write Im testing voltage on the ECT on a very hot engine. 0.62volts on the red-yellow wire and .001 on the grey-yellow. Will test ohms now.

Cheers!!

295 ohms of resistance from the ECT measured within 5 minutes of engine off.
