Is it possible to replace MAF's thermistor?
#1
Hi everybody,
I am new to the forum, not to the website anyway...precious resource, thanks.
My MAF's (13800-58B00, Vitara 1.6 16v) thermistor has been blown away, because of an LPG backflame, I guess. Given the price of the good MAFs, I would like to ask you if you think it is possible to replace the thermistor only, and, in this case, where can I find its specifics.
Thank you!

impossible
there is no spec. on it or source.
ouch flame back failure, sounds like too lean.

how can LPG run with a stock ecu and MAF, impossible. that.
my guess is car is dual fuel setup. and the LPG side blew up the Gas side, dang that is a first here... sorry it happened to you.
buy a used maf of fleabay is best change, and not the clone its no good.

the get harder an harder to find
or buy the CARDONE rebuilt. for 1/3 suz. price.

Thumbs Up
Yes, it is dual fuel. I will follow your advice, then.
Harder and harder to find, you're right!
Thanks again

5 times cheaper that here.! 192USD
over $1100 USD here. (suzuki sales counter)
but we have good old CARDONE that rebuilds them... and 100% tested.
the insides are not documented, it's a Mitsubishi secret.
china tried to do it and failed.
here is the china hack job. (revealed)

as you can see the thermistors are factory trimmed, "calibrated" so replacing one, would need to be re calibrated.
this schematic is not from any Mitsubishi.
