Heater fan control switch problem
#1
The heater fan control switch stopped allowing high speed position to work. It runs on the low speed position but not on any of the other speeds. Took the switch apart and noticed burnt contact on the inside of switch that switches between med, hi, and very hi speed contacts. Also noticed spade connectors for switch and connector must have gotten overheated and have damaged the connector and switch. Cleaned up and reinstalled but since this is the second time I've done this am wondering if this is going to continue until switch and connector are completely destroyed or if there is a workaround. 25 Amp fuse doesn't blow. Looks like the switch can't handle the full hi speed current. Did later models use a relay?

i see your pm, the switch on amazon is for 96+ (just like my 96 with different switch type and look)

ACDelco 15-73369 (but they only cross it to GM)
some cars have no A/C !

http://gmpartsdepartment.com/parts/1992/...ROL%20UNIT

Gm books lists 92-95 as 3000-7405 (with foot notes, order by application., A/C , Japan or CAMI)

this part is one of the most tricky parts to order on car. and is on my hard to buy page, just for that reason.
10 years of changes. and cami, Japan made cars. are different. in this major way. that is why the parts list , show 2 parts for 1 car.

the geo numbers are here, (gives alternate sources,GM)

http://ge.tt/8vB7JU91/v/0

the suzuki parts
is 24400-64A11

see the real page here
it does look different, see?

lets google that.

no hits and if you go to the exact page
is shows discontinued.

http://www.suzukicarparts.com/parts/1992...ROL%20UNIT

but using GM numbers we do get hits
3000-7405
gm dont like dashes so

https://www.google.com/webhp?gws_rd=ssl#q=GEO+30007405+

finding one is not easy.

be aware , every gm dealer on earth charges a diffr, price,
so if price sensitive. you have to ask them all, not something easy. (but does pay off)

watch out I think the switch at suzuki is sold seperate until 1996

the 89-91 switch is
37870-60A00

the parts page for 92-95 this switch is missing (error I think)
seen here ID 14

http://www.domsuzuki.ru/stheme/SWSE4131330420.jpg

3787060A01 , superceeded
http://www.suzukicarparts.com/parts/1995...eid=214820
with the drawing error , that makes it hard to discover if part comes with whole assembly or not. very hard.

let me know if the AC-delco part fits
if it rear electric connector fits. perfectly, then the Suzuki parts photos are wrong. (and need to correct that)
