Rockauto sells the SMP FPD66 part is 80.00? That is the cheapest I found so far. There is a local auto part that might have but they don't open today. Will have to wait for tomorrow.

Cheers!!

i checked most stores here state side most dont carry it, some did but don't now, (car is very old and sales near zero now)
Rockauto, is one of the best sources of Suzuki parts, here, bar none. nobody comes as close or has such a wide choice.
napa here, is 2nd, (tops on quality) but they mostly must order from very far away , warehouses.

they what 100 bucks and change. (varies by ZIP)

M16 x 1.5"
buy a M16 banjo bolt and bypass it? (, soft solder it up. (after baking it for long time (1hr?) at 125-150f to drive out all GASOLINE)

but i dont know the length, 1.5 is fine pitch.

off shelf banjos are sold

make sure its steel and not aluminum.

above is wild guessing, i have no idea the MM length,

Now this is the defeating method. Will this work? I can try it. What could my risks be. I really don't understand the proper function of the damper.

Thanks for your time.

why ask that? you ask what will happen with hacking, nobody knows that? I offered it only for a emergency solution(called a stop gap)

the pump pushes steady pressure, say at 30 psi. (FPReg does that)
at wide open throttle up a tall hill, at 95HP the injectors are hard on (max Pulse width), all 4, firing hardest.
during this case, the pressure can pulsate in the rail. ( it sure does)
Point 2? the ECU can NOT SEE this bad drop of pressure, (it's blind, unlike new cars)

this pulsating causes the injectors to under inject and the AFR can go lean, and running lean at WOT. burns valves to a crisp. (risk)
the engineer did all he can to stop lean under load. this is but one part , that prevents lean out.

read, jeff hartmans books. this is covered. well.
http://www.amazon.com/Jeff-Hartman/e/B001IGJNQW

AFR is air fuel ratio, or FUEL MIXTURE.

if driven gently there is no risk. (my guess)
avoid hills. avoid WOT, avoid jack rabbit starts.
also if the filter is near clogged, this pulsation gets worse, and like 1/2 the cars are like this, no service ever.

some cars the damper is part of FPREG, or in the pump.
for sure it is covered in the design, or the pump is so powerful , its not needed at all.(flow specs)
also the pulses can be so fast the FPREG can not respond in time. (ours)
the FPreg adjusts for vacuum, in the plenum and is not able to do fast regulation. the damper corrects this. and the FPReg works perfectly at all throttle angles
and at all altitudes.

there are always 2 solutions , usually
short and long term.
depends on if owner has 2 cars.
or not.
or a motorcycle.

Long term way is the one. Fix I covered the hole at the banjo side with a rag last night and today it was soaking in gas? No power nor.. wait a sec I put the gas cap back on!! It building pressure fro the fumes! God!! Never mind.

yes the evap system does build pressure, by law.
it will push out fuel with any leaks.
just keep the cap loose until the system is safe.

please be safe.

this is case where the smog man (epa) kills people, homes etc.
i have a neighbor that head a BBQ propane tank leak , the house exploded killing everyone inside. the propane, drifted under house , built up and exploded.

Ok, my only options are Suzuki OEM ($106+s/h and not to PR but Florida) and Rockauto the Airtex model($100) the same thing. SMP is out of stock. Anyways with any of the options I won't new able to get the part until the weekend, if i'm lucky. What you meant by silver solder is actual silver? I'm studying my options just in case all goes south, cause car needs to be ready for next monday. Maybe a 96 from junkyard, if it fits? or which is the most recent years that this part would fit in my year?

Thanks
