ECU compatibility
#11
is my arrow to D102 accurate, i'm not sure.

thanks for checking it.
all data is good.

all outputs on the ECU are unprotected, hot wiring = death
all inputs are just the opposite, well protected.

besides bad caps, almost all fails are blown outputs.
smoke let out.
even a shorted injector can do that.

Do you think its worth replacing all these caps before I put it all back together. (its just 2 caps, only the ELECTROLYTICS, CAN shaped.)
Even if it does work it seems like the caps breaking is a very common problem. Yes, they all leak. (original only)

I ran a jumper cable to the cab from the battery so I would have a solid ground to work with for the multimeter.

take the jumper cable and connect the black clamp to battery neg only.
then other black end into cab for best meter ground of all. best way. there are many grounds that can fail.

Thanks again for all the help I really appreciate it!

here are some.
see column named Gnd 92-95
here, the first 7 there, are very important.

if the ecu b1 pin (keyon) is above 0.5v the body grounds are bad.

I found a cheap ecu online and grabbed it. Tracker runs now, I'm having problems with the transmission, but I'll start a new thread.

When I have a bit more time I'll try to fix the broken one so I can have a back up. I'll post result as I find em.

Thanks for the help!
