Bosch 02 Sensor on 95

Fixkick,

I went to install my bosch 02 sensor on my 95 fed, 4x4, 16v. What I noticed immediately is that the factory installed 02 has 4 wires. However, the replacement Bosch only has three. I'm assuming this is not going to work. I purchased the Bosch 15701. The connector looks the same.

I wanted to use bosch, but it appears I may not. Any suggestions on another top brand?

my table covers that it shows all 3 types, universal, and PNP, 3 and 4 wire. that is why i made this table.
one is FED other is CALIF, gotta love PR of CALIF, and that
bosch invented it there is NGK and others, all are good. really,
i see bosch on sale all the time by googling the correct bosch pn

the PNP for 4 wire is . 13073-4 (the 4 i added)

great prices !!! and all the same. too.
i think the last 1995's went to CAL 02, as did many other parts in car. but one must look. or get it wrong 1/2 time. the universal is same way, cal and fed.

Your matrix says to purchase 15701-3 for 94/95 16v fed tracker. Is that an error? I have a 4 wire on mine.

Is there more than one 02 sensor?

there are 4 choices
2 universal 3 and 4
2 PNP fed and calif, 3/4 wires.
my matrix only shows, what might be there, not what to choose....
watch out for PO'S that put in the wrong sensor.
then you get car, and find the harness side has 4 pins. oops. it's the harness side that counts, no missing unpopulated pin there?.
the suzuki pn is -58b20, there are 4 more types. but shows just one sensor for cal and one for fed. just 2 numbers total in 1995.
15701 is 3wire, if you look here and click "more info" it shows, a photo of 3 pins.
13073 is 4wire, and has white nylon conn, i now see they have others. 2 more.

Yes, bosch is saying you need the 4 wire for ca emissions. In my case, this is not true. I have a fed 4 wire. Here is their page. It's all good, I sent the old one back and have the 4 wire on order. I wonder why a fed vehicle has the 4 wire?

ps. Yes, harness side has 4 wires.
