one thing nice on the 60a cars.
less ECU's in class, and most in that class work. on all M/t (mean manual trans, stick shifted car)
on newer cars, less work right, in all classes. 91+ here.
but on the down side 90 used parts are harder to find.
so simpler, but harder.

almost like my 91. (mine was a rag top)
I drove my 91 like yours, m/t
for a year with a A/t ECU, just to prove I can. (it was my spare, )
but i can not run 60a ecu, on my 91, 56b car,
nor can we do the reverse.
only 60a ecu works in your car. and not below.

the 56b ecu makes spark , (does advance and all)
the 60a does not creat or make spark or timing it or anything like that. its a fuel only ecu.
the 60a has very unique distributor with vacuum advance, centrifugal spark advance,, and VR trigger, and igntor the runs the spark coil directly,. all by its self
your 60a car can make spark with the ECU pulled out. on yours.
not mine. ever.
knowing these facts, makes ECU selections more obvious.

it old, many things this old dont; work.
i restore old gear, and this is par for the course.
never own an old car with ECu and not have a spare.
this allows you to buyo ne , not in a panic mode.
and get a good price.
here in usa ours costs $400 for a rebuilt at CARDONE.
a top seller and pro builder.
when not in a hurry, i can find ecu for $50 on ebay
try that yet, using ebay not ours?

so what is not the same?
details.?
tell me.?
looks the same to me
what?
if you are talking INK stamps, say so.
the INK stamps are supper secret MITSUBISHI codes, and suzuki , secret marketing codes. none of this is published, not in 10 years of looking, me and 1000s of others.
a 60a70 are all the same (in base functional form) on usa ECu it s tagged, US on the bottom. but only here, and in canada, .
the only differences are:
1: smog ratings. (stamps all a secret)
2: or things non of our business say that the maker found better parts and upgraded, they do reserve the right to make all things better, or if a part is no longer made they change to new parts, but works exactly the same way, from the outside. (both electrically and logically)
no lie there can be 50 or more different 60A70s world wide
that is the market count, about.
that means suzuki can have an ecu for every country on earth, for there SMOG laws.
Ill give one simple example , say in usa, we have a smog law for EGR, code 51
but in canada its turned off.
see?
Those are all secret codes.... in most places.
only suzuki knows this.... they have an internal list never published,
name something not the same....
we can talk specifics, sure.
