Hi, the AT OD light is flashing and SES light is on at idle. When I start to drive around for a few minutes the OD light will goes away except the SES light. It would do this again when I stop, start and idle again. I go pull codes at auto garages here in the country, but all of them do not read even Suzuki cars. Maybe it is time to buy a live OBD2 scanner myself. Could you help me with this! What model will work with the Sport? Where can I buy it?
I heard about disconnecting the computer coupler. On my left knee, there are two computers very close to each other. On my right knee, there is another computer a little upper level. Which one is the ECM for engine? Which one is PCM for tranny?
Thank you for all input.

I really need to know if the connector above is present on your car.
if not its been hacked.
old cars , take eyes looking carefully to see what is there and what is not there. and evidence of hacking.
do you have the yellow arrow DLC connector... yes./no.
The TCM is part #35

I uploaded your USA TAGS.
its made in JAPAN, and not CAMI
it is for USA delivery.
so the car is OBD2 car. (applicable to 1996 epa regs, means its OBD2 car) << this is how Suzuki states this, and no separate tag, like most cars have.
did you look for the connector above your shins (knees) see the yellow arrow., in post #4?
the OD flashes for 4speed transmission errors, TCM sees errors)
the ECU on later. years, can report that the TCM sees.
your car is a prime example of a build date , for the first 96s ever made ,in beginning of fiscal year 96, July1995. but was build to USA regs for year model 1996.
GOT THIS?

Thanks for getting that picture on email!
Update step by step
I have parked the car for 1 week with the tail dome fuse under the dash removed in the hope the TCM would reset itself! But when I start the car and idle it for 10 seconds, the same problem happends again- the OD is flashing. I drive it around for 5 minutes and the OD light goes away. But when I stop and idle it, the OD is flashing again!!!
Anyway, the car is running fine.
I get under the car to find any couplers there to make sure the connections are properly tight. But I cannot see any of them my hands could reach. May be I need to drop off the tanny.

there are vast ways to get TCM errors
YOU MUST FIRST SCAN THE ECU, using the connector shown 2 times above.

I POST THIS ONLY BECAUSE YOU failed to get the car scanned. that is first, the below, might work, the JUMPER TRICK and flashing OD lamp , for TCM FLASH CODE ERRORS.
see this drawing?
find the blu/org wire yet?>
see the 2 arrows crossed, that is just a jumper wire.
jumping the blu-org to black, activates the TCM flash code error , reporting.
i know now that your USA car, is notlocated in USA , but far far away .
where there are no shops, that ever seen a USA car ever..
and would not have scan tools to scan it. like here.

Some sports (SV418 is the real name)
can do flash codes.
if you can find the blu/org wire, so might your's.
The TCM is smart , it's so smart it can see errors that the driver can not feel.!
think of early warnings.... I CAN DO THAT ON ALL CARS MADE.
and is a GOOD thing.
no matter what it is , it will get WORSE.
it might be just a dirty VSS,
ever clean one?
