good?>
i missed a few, but we have it all on one page now
Nice job on organizing all that 8 pages of stuff. I know I had to repeat a lot of the stuff on there because it'ds so hard for others to go back and read 8 pages of it.

what is miles on engine?

I didn't see your review on the tool on Amazon.
I will take a little while to learn how to use the tool, and I'll try putting the info on here. I'll be sure no to upgrade it also.

Is there a test I can do on the front 02 Sensor ? ........ Impedance?

Update, I just found your page on 02 sensors.

Update, I just found your page on 02 sensors.

the best test, is hot idle, and the 02 scan plot, see on your new scan tool
the heater can be tested 2 ways
current draw, 1amp, using and amp clamp meter on just 1, heater wire.
or dead cold, unpugged, the heater pins show about 12 ohms or so, 0 is shorted, infinity is dead open, bad.
the heater element inside can short to CEL side, causing grossly reading wrong CELL, the o2 side is like a timing battery cell, thus the name
the o2 sensors can be tested with a scope, i bet you dont have that, nor is it needed, the scan tool does that.

use the scan tool.. watch the 02 swings.
if its dead, the heater is blown out, or the CELL is dead, heck never seen any 20 year one ever, not dead.
the scan tool at hot idle shows the swing, about 6 times a second, if not 02 dead, or exhaust cracks near the O2, causing it to lie.

guess what, here is my china scan tool, like yours doing exactly this tests
MS509, 3 or 4years old, one of the first ever sold.

i dont have many reviews, on amazon almost none, i boycott them now, (and deleted all my 100s of reviews there)
i do not review, elm 327's , unless real, 99% are not,,,, real costs 3 times counterfeits.so... be waste reviewing the 1000 sold on ebay. and same junk on amazon sold at 2x china prices...

yes,,have many 02 pages
so one can see lots of scan tools usages there...

the faster the tool and ecu the better are the 02 plots.
voltage over time.
if it swings around 0.45v its good. and low and high

what the tool does is scan the 02,then does so real fast in a loop (software)
then digitizes it. (fills in the dots, like a scope but very crude) so it can miss some swings, this ok
on 2008 cars,its way faster.. can-bus fast.

errors:
swings are shifted wrong up or down.
dead 02(or its heater)
dead cruising. (light0
stuck at 0v
stuck at 1v.
slow 02, the old do that, all do.

there are 4 tests
scans on car, hands down best, after all its REAL.
scans with scope on car
voltmeter tests, mostly useless, but the heater tests
the 02 in a vise tests. and voltmeter, and propane tests, only proves CELL is NOT DEAD.

i think he needs 3 things
1:time
2:learn now EFI works.(For sure how 02 closed loop works and LTFT)
3:lean how his scanner works.

in this case, he asks it to scan, 02. in live data scan mode,(called PID scanning)
then presses the graph/plot button and bingo.

id just buy a new sensor, for $36, the universal connector version works and is cheap. my buy parts page covers that.
bosch # nnnnnn-4, the 4 I added for 4 wires.
PNP is 15287-4
universal is.15729-4
15729
https://www.amazon.com/Bosch-15729-Oxyge...B000BZL080
seen on ebay
or even
walfart
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Bosch-Oxygen-...9/34176839

the PNP (easY) can cost 3 times more.
my page shows the color codes for all suzuki and all sensors made

here is my cheat page on 02.
colors /pins and all
all ways to cut this fat hog.
all this on my 3 pages, 02
cheat sheet 1.

http://www.fixkick.com/sensors/O2%20sens...lors1.html

rule 1, each maker of sensors can use any colors they want and DO.
rule 2: Suzuki in there infinite wisdom, use may colors. on harness, a Royal PITA this. but i have tables.
rule 3, bosch invented it,why waver from best.... and costs less too.. hark. NGK great, but$$$$$

this page cover all suzukis for over 16 years. 89 to 2005?
http://www.fixkick.com/sensors/OxyGen_se...ch-sensors

to do this right tell me your 4 wire colors on your j18 harness side, 02 front
i can match those to any sensor made

...
.the 02 is in fact a 100,000 tune up part, pretending its not, is not wise, nor spending weeks doing endless tests.
in fact there no off car O2 tests that prove its ok (heater not blown) you can not test a sensor for Poisoned. (nor off calibration, only Bosch labs can)
dig?

only scans help.

now B1 S1,(bank 1 sensor one,,, ) this sensor sets fuel mix, job1
the sensors are off line, accelerating or WOT.
that is why I asked over and over, what does the misfire do WHEN misfring, if you slam the throttle down?
that slamming causes ECU ENRICH mode, a key diagnostic tool (free of cost) on all EFI cars.

all good tools do this, ALL!

here is my INNOVA, 3160 in action
Im scanning live data, then i force the tool to scan ONLY B1S1
then i press the graph button and below. a live scope (delayed, in time a tiny bit,who cares) VIEW.
the tool is just issuing the 02 PID command over and over, no magic, its just a OBD2 command,
the tool then digitizes and plots this data. as clearly seen above.

we see it not shifted, and swings fast, and is NOT DEAD.
if you had say exhaust leaks, it shifts lean, and the ecu ,now over injects the same amount as the 02 error presents.
air is 20% oxygen,so if 1% leaks in,that be HOPELESS.
the sensor measures deferentially but ill not go in to all that, but will say, no mud or grease on sensor allowed.period.(it must breath, air)

we look here here first.
why, well its what 1minute job
and 10minute to see all sensors live,.and go,Nero, thumbs up down?
and LTFT., WHAT IS that at idle.

long term fuel trim= LTFT
but if 02 is offset or dead, LTFT is useless data. (garbage in, nets garbage out,)(computers101)
short term fuel trim is to fast for humans to see,

the 02 is part of a SERVO loop
the PCm/ECU is the brains in this loop
the PCM hunts for perfect fuel mix, called STOICH.
endlessly, and near6 times a second. endless.
if and only if in CLOSED LOOP status.(look there firstfirst)

lets say fuel pressure was 60psi, closed loop will fail.. status and ALL
see?
the ECU CAN not adjust for GROSS errors.
nor for B1S1 exhaust cracks,
each putt, sucks in air, if you let it. answer, don't

PNP means plug and play
or pray
its OEM type plug in sensor, that is well, expensive.
unless you shop for sales.

what you see there is the PCm
hunting(For perfect mixture endlessly,it guesses wrong, a bit, and then corrects over and over.)
your cruise control does the same thing,it too is a SERVO system.
just watch a faRmers water pump/ well ,wind vane directed servo actions, is pure mechanical and easy to see.
see the wind shift and the blade mounts, hunt the wind, sure you that a simple SERVO

models, nice.

to learn servo's
learn basics, simple,then work up.
one more lil secret
the PCM guesses wrong a bit ,on purpose
why?
to keep the catalyst hot,and working ,called LIT OFF. (SMOG LAWS and how a CAT works)
the wasted fuel does that magic,
better to waste fuel than EAT CO or NOX, for sure(both are deadly) rationalizations this is.
