Plugs have red oily stain and misfire
#4
the valve guides is bad, will suck oil like mad,
no mater how many oil seals.
case in point, my stock vw bug has no seals new, and now., at all and don't burn oil, and is a boxer engine... pancake engine.
but why is the oil red.? (2031 miles away forensics?)
my guess now, is it's burning oil bad, on #2 and misfires and the red gas paints everything red.

my vw head guides. were mangled too. and are now, works of ART, on the wall.

many time the guides dont come out.
most times it's from non pro machine shops.
the book tells you to heat the head first. to get them loose then press them out.
and the book also says, if they seem stuck? (force applied is too much?)
it says, to broach them out (drill) until the walls of the guide are thinner, and NOW they will come out. (skills)
all this is skill and craft and the fine art of head rebuilding,,, many don't ever do this, working only newer cars.....

my guy, just rejected my heads and give me free cores to work. (i was very lucky, on rare heads) and will never do it again. as there are no new heads to buy..... (clones)
I spent more cash rebuilding and old block that the cost of new..... (1step at a time and bam they got me..$$$.) But that is how all this goes. no complaints..
