get the EGR main closed
then when sure 100% its closed, if it takes cleaning, the so be it,its 50k service point.
remove the top hose on the throttle body, this it the ported EGR port
pull hose , then put golf tee in hose, so it cant suck air. on the TB side, this takes a spark hose or working on other end of metal vac.

so does it stall
or drop below 800 rpm at anytime,
even to 400 rpm ?
this is usually the EGR
stuck open
if it happens at odd stop signs, bingo.
