Trans Modulator replacement - lemurh - 09-27-2021

Thanks to all the great info and discussion on this site, I have procured a new purple strip trans modulator.
It is the first step we are taking to assist with the high/harsh shifting that has cropped up in the '89 sidekick.
I did observed some of the FSM diagrams on this site as well.

My main question: Has anyone replaced a modulator and if so, could describe the process?
I have the correct 30mm service wrench. I am also looking for any guidance on the overall process and any items of note/to watch for during the process.
Appreciate any info, thank you.

the thin wrench
and new 0-ring and use grease on it as inserting the ring.
that is it.

this sensor/actuator tells the Transmission the load on the engine so it can shift correctly

good luck to you .

Thanks for the confirmation!  Reading through the FSM posts outlined a lot of other activities, much appreciated.
