the 3L30 is just and upgraded TH180, used since 1973. and is used on all USPS old JEEP mail waggons. It has NO computers it IS a real Hydramatic transmission. Old school, every inch. but the PCM does activate the TCC lockup. TCC luckup is nothing new, its started here in 1989
