LM2902 Op-amp Pic 8bit processor with on board flash memory SMD > 12F683 78L05 , 5vdc regulator. (cheap and very not up to car usage) transistor PTZ2222a IP1. no markings on the MAF for ID, only plastic type codes (molding of case) only some chineese on top. (will decode that later) the maf is directional and has an Arrow on the case , showing the correct way. using any CAI modified system , i can see that putting the MAF in backwards would be easy, (missing stock mounts) the unit is PIC processor based (with internal flash EEprom) This chip it is pre-programmed and with tables for vitara 58b flow rates. they make many mafs for many cars and this mAF has no PartNumber ( a big red flag to me) wrong MAF? how , pray tell do we know what unit this is.? if its not marked for the PIC codes and data? the unit. tests. the 5v regulator still works and all chips receive the correct power. incuding the 12v to the OP-AMP. the key on output is 1.5v. the OP amp drives this pin via LM2902 pin 14, at 1.5v out of MAF the op amp drives 2.13v on pin 14. there is a trim pot that controls gain of pin 14 , OP-AMP. i made a full schematic , so far i have not damage it, the lid has a rubber gasket. i will do my vacuum cleaner test. for 3v out. do do that , the out put pin , must be loaded to ground with a precision 1000 ohm resistor that i have. flow bench tests. crude but very effective) this test fails ! the output is 1.5v at all times. even with my simulated 1/2 throttle (about 40hp) i discovered that in the factory the dimbulbs,, connected the thermister and hot wire backwards in side. transposed ! after correcting that blunder, the unit now works. up to my 3vdc output test with vacuum cleaner.
