Valve springs for 1995 tracker
#1
Need some help locating new valve springs for a 1995 16V. Having my motor redone and my machine shop is having a hard time locating new springs. Had 2 break in half while dissasembling, seemed really brittle. Any help is appreciated. Thanks again for this site, it has been a lifrsave with my new Tracker addiction.

Need to clarify my post. Not the valve springs I need but the intake rocker arm clips. Don't see them in the Southwest Suzuki schematic of the head assy but they show in my FSM as # 6064. They were very brittle and I broke 2 during dissassembly. Any ideas on a source ? Thanks

No I dont know where you can get those. I got a new head from ebay, they came with new on them. maybe contact them here is their ebay store http://www.ebay.com/sch/headsbycch/m.htm...1439.l2654 sorry im no help there. did you try calling southwest suzuki. Might give them a shout they may be open today. best of luck.

If you go to my post preparing for the future and look at post 68 (here is the link http://www.fixkick.com/bbs2/Suzuki-bbs/s...=90&page=7 then I think go to southwest link i posted earlier and that should be the part number

he wants rocker buffer spring , not valve springs.
and is suzuki only item.
and its not listed online, nor is 90 % of anything on car listed, the Data base is just teaser. in the early years.
DB = data base

get a paper parts cat, see next post. (or the EPC, its free)
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=suz...g&_sacat=0
read that , then order by real part numbers.
then you get the right part every time.

your part is ID 11 , in the valve train, photos in my G16 page. (16)
see page 12(pdf page) see what the dealer sees on his screen, see part 11? G16B below.!!!
http://www.fixkick.com/engine/96-98%2016...motor1.pdf

the after market , does not support suzuki very well, do to their low production and many of these old cars are , well, wrecked, rusted or gone.
you can get engine parts at many online, 4x4 shops that sell suzuki parts. they have pistons ,valves, gaskets, etc, but not everything, just some things.
that is what you get with a Suzuki.
but the dealer is closed TO CAR SALES, but the parts departments are still up. some are, some shut down, and in some states. ZERO.
Some of the 4x4 shops only sell racing parts, like $300 headbolts (or studs) or other extreme parts. some not too cheap.
There are parts on fleabay from china, with no name or history. buy when desperate.
We see oil pumps that are too think and hit the crank cog. what i do , for imported parts, I try to by true Japanese made parts. NOT NONAME.
and other parts made of cheap grade metal or cast cloned, ( causing gross dimensional errors...) horrid ignition parts.
