Timing belt adjuster
#1
I have been getting a bit of a squeak when starting the truck was going away almost immediately .
Last trip hunting it was considerably colder out and the squeak turned into a rubbing on something noise comming from the timing belt area .
I removed the cover today and sure enough the adjuster pulley was wearing on the timing cover as you can see from the pics, no damage to the pulley which surprises me , any thoughts why this happens? Pully is tight no wobble I can detect

best i can tell is that is G16 engine there no year nor if 16v or 8valve? no matter...
is that bottom or top. looks kinda bottom ish. NO.
?
yes I have page that shows all ways from Sunday that happens.
Not cover bad. sure. I cant predict that, ever, I must assume it is Suzuki cover proper not china crap.( and it shrunk from heat, with lame china cloned plastic)
ok that is the idle pulley , is bad. center of cover sure. (its bearings are shot) buy from GATES.
if not here is my list.

here is my Tbelt drifting page (some are horror like) but real.

90 distrib makes its own spark, not ECU, the 93 is makes spark via ECU and distributor. so yes  keep all 90 EFI and spark parts, and harness inplace and ECU.90
just use short block.
but not sure me the head cam rear end of 93(92-95) works with 90 distrib at all gear there and head base housing for distrib.
90 throttle body wired to 90 ECU (TPS and ISC)
but yes big issue is distrib and there are not even close.  92 is CMP sensor only distrib,  90 is self contained igniter coil all  in one spark.
good luck to you !
