Thoughts on brake rotors...

Advanced auto parts said they can get wagner brake rotors for the tracker for $14 each. That seems like a really good price. The guy said that he didn't believe they made a vented brake rotor for the tracker since it's such a small vehicle, but this photo on amazon shows a vented bosch rotor.

Have you seen vented rotors? Are they needed on a tracker? Or, will the 14 dollar wagners work just fine?

amazon is infamous for showing stock photos (random) for parts.. and also shipping them from china , with no warning at all. i dont even use amazon now.
even bay is honest enough to show true source.


the car is very light, so rotor, type is not too important, unless pulling a trailer.
the bosch catalog, will show this , if real

the Bosch rotors , sell on quality.

the rotors are thin, 0.39" new, how would you vent thin rotors?

note the Bosch documents say "OEM style". so if OEM is not vented, neither are these.
this one line allows them to use one photo for all rotors. it's a stock photo, imo

my 96 was not vented seen here
id go for metallurgy, and balance. and the brand names.

The factory rotors have the two threaded holes to release stubborn rotors. Not sure the aftermarket products have these holes. I see them in your photo at 3pm and 9pm. I think the FSM shows to use a 8mm bolt to release the rotor. It's nice when the factory concerns themselves with service! So many companies don't care.

if the new rotors are OE fit they have it, if not, not.
its stock feature,but with many stores, the photos are not read, they are just stock generic photos. useless really. (better is , photos soon)
