Can you set timing using diag software?

it is, we will have to ask rhinoman why 300 ohms is not right. as it is on all ours.
well, at least we know the engine is at full temp. now.

i forget what car you have, you should do a signature.

like this.
1995,tracker, 2door, M/T 5speed - FED hood sticker?, USA CAR IN Caribbean. <correct me please...
State side Suzuki and trackers
have only 3 ECUs 1995
70EA0 MT fed 4WD
70EBO AT FED 4WD
70EC0 AT CAL 2WD
70EDO AT CAL 4WD.

BELOW THIS IS WORDS
LIKE US MT OR US FED, OR US CAL.

buy any 70EA0 ecu.
that is M/T.

the A/t will run too, but only buy only if found dirt cheap, like $25 or so.
i ran mine for 1year with 5speep and with A/T ECU just for kicks. to see if it worked ok, it did.
but not on 95 but a 91
for sure it would start and run. but the idle controls might get confused, due to lack of park switch.
the ecu dont shift car, only locks the TCC. blindly. on a/T cars...
in 1997 that changes big time, for the worse.

usa ecu , MT is manual tranny, that is the correct match for your car.
the other codes i dont know but are smog regs. and revision codes. (all fixed ROM codes and tables.)
those other codes are all MITSUBISHI CODES.

there is one more oddity
that is like this.

70EA0

i the zero at the end can change, and i thinh is revision levels. i ignore them.
in fact it might be a Square box, with 0 inside, the box i think means revision #

never seen or heard of any 70ea0 not running right in a 95, unless bad. (m/t 16v)

fixkick,

I do have that zero at the end of mine too. I wasn't sure if it was a graphic.

So, If I buy this exact one, you don't need any "dealer programming" like some ebay ads post?

John

ps. Do you have a write up on how to remove it? It looks buried behind fuses, cables and connectors! Electrical soup!

Hello ! So glad to find this forum ! I was reading fixkick files better than the bible but... I have not followed the forum button from the top, thinking it leads to other forum I post sometimes.
John, I have the same issue with the coolant temperature ; as I see the title of this topic refers to timing , I will post on the other topic with dedicated title.
All the best !

the kick memory is ROM and rom is not programmable ever. (masked rom or one time programmable, are fixed for life) old school puters.

welcome !

on many (most) the last digit is a bracket or box, and a number in the box.
[0] rev zero.
a classic case for this is the 89/90 years, huge numbers of variances ,just the last digit, including country. smog ratings.
suzuki has secret list of the stamped , numbers on the sides of the connector..
mitsubishi made it and the mother card (PCB) has its own secret list of codes. and firmware revisions.
