Spare parts list for the Philippines
#11
Hi fixkick,

first of sorry for the bad picture quality... some of them ar not really focussed well!

Regarding the TPS: the inside diameter at the TB is 27 mm, for me it looks as if the outside diameter is 31 mm (but they didn´t measure this in the Philippines, although I told them to do so...)

Unfortunately they didn´t find the old TPS, they only found pictures of it... It´has been a MIKUNI brand and at the side you can read something like "061Y" (or "06IY") , possibly being followed by two or three digits, which could be read anymore.

The mechanic in the Philippines was asking for the old TPS "to read some data out" ??? Is there really some data stored inside the TPS, which are important, when replacing the TPS? I got your hint that the TPS needs calibration, I already forwarded the link with your instructions to the Philippines.

The injector was with the mechanic, who was not at home yesterday, because he is looking to get a replacement for the defective injector. So I couldn´t get pictures nor part number of it yet...

But I have another question: so all the "E"-versions are "EXPORT"-versions? If my car is "JDM", how does it come that there is no hint, that it was a RHD before? Or does SUZUKI Japan also make LHD cars, which are marked "JDM"?

When I watch the chassis-number-plate, it looks as if the "PH" (in between the "TD01V-" and the number "003xxx") is imprinted in a different manner or quality... Can it be that the "PH" was added after importing the car to the Philippines?

The exhaust manifold looks to me like the "type 2"-version and not like the "type 3" shown on the pictures in your link.

SUZUKI Philippines now really answered my emails, but they just said, they cannot find any documentation of my car... I asked them, if it´s possible to forward my inquiry to SUZUKI Japan, but I doubt that this show any result!

But thank you first of all for your hints and attempts to get me/us closer to a solution!

Hi fixkick,

thanks to all your hints and instructions! You might delete your last five replies, because they have been very helpful for me, but not helpful for others, at least not according to the topic of this thread...!

Do you know other brands, which are sold in the Philippines, which have easier (free) access to their database? Then please let me and others know for buying the next car!

Okay, I will try to get the car fixed and then sell it - if nobody else here in the forum has a hint, how to get:

- spare parts lists for Vitaras sold in the Philippines,
- service manuals for Vitaras sold in the Philippines,
- or other helpful hints on Vitaras sold in the Philippines.

There must be some Filipinos, who own a SUZUKI Vitara and who might know about how to find the right spare parts!

Unfortunately there are no forums in the Philippines, which are useful for SUZUKI Vitara owners (Please, anybody should correct me, if I´m wrong!)

To all others especially from the Philippines: please try to help as well!

Thank you,

Hi fixkick (and to all others!),

the defective injector shows the number "INP-470" Besides the number there is a round sign (a circle with three little lines at the left down side). The "plastic" parts of the injector are in yellowish white. It has four wholes for injection. Because it´s already dark in the Philippines, they couldn´t take pictures yet... but I expect the pictures tomorrow.

For me it looks and sounds like a NIKKI injector...

They already looked for a replacement part there, but they couldn´t find any.

I now saw an offer for a DENSO injector, being shipped from Taiwan with the same number (Whole number of the DENSO injector is displayed as: "195500-2400 15710-57B00 96068643 INP470 FJ396 4G1290 83211143 89053898".

But my only question now (before getting the pictures to verify the model) is:

Can injectors be mixed from different manufacturers? Or is it not advisable to do so? Are the couplers / electrical connectors the same with different manufacturers? Do they have the same coupler / electrical connection? Is it advisable to exchange ALL injectors at once, if the car has been running 160,000 km (100,000 miles)?

hello.
my injector code is 15710-57B00 , < 10.1993
i want to change them, but they are available only new, OEM, around 250-300 euros per piece. way too expensive.

is there a problem if i change them with 15710-58B00 >10.1993? will they fit?
is there a big difference? later models are cheaper, around 100 USD 4 pieces.

i have a escudo, 1.6 16v, 1993.
i am from Romania, Europe.

Thank's

if you try to buy suzuki parts for this old a car, you will find every scalper on planet earth. (for sure on ebay, vast rip offs there)
why do that?
why not ask an injector maker, any one, there are many, and
ask them to cross their injector to your car,
I promise you they sell them.
those numbers are suzuki only numbers, forget them. (or use them only as a cross)
and why buy new?, rebuilt are just fine. new are expensive.

ignore the TBI injector. just MPI.(MFI)
here are some at rockauto,

this injector fits all G16b here, 92 to 1998.

GB REMANUFACTURING 83211143

good luck !!!

only fits some SE and SY bodies, in market europe and austrialia.
SE=early vitara
SY = early Baleno

the 57b shares parts with the G16, 58B engine, is NOT the same EFI system. not at all.
it has unique throttle body with electric ISC on bottom
and its own FPR regulator
and own injectors 57bxx
and its own MAF< the MAF is not a maf its VAF, a van air flow meter not mass flow. totally different.
unique ECU.
you car is a SY416.

omg found it, buried deep in the database , and Baleno has like 8 engine choices and suzuki mixes parts in the data.
but also, here is what 57b means.
it means the SY413 car, and that is 1.3L not 1.6
its G13b not G16b at all.
so did someone swap engine there, to G16?

our G13s had carbs in 1989 , no injectors , then car went G16s for over 10 years.all are injected , non run 57b parts.
