PRNDL no crank.
#1
Car sometimes won’t crank, usually I’ve fixed this by putting it in neutral and slamming on the brakes, must make things connect right.

Thanks to your crank diagnostics I can only assume it is the PRINDL position sensor as I was able to start it by moving the gear selector back and forth instead of shaking the whole car.

I’m having difficulty locating the part on eBay.

If park fails try neutral.   both allow cranking, sure it's an  automatic trans 3sp or 4sp sure;.

be happy its not new jeep with the PRNDL gone (switch) not called TRS switch deep deep in the box. all oil drained ATF and Pan off and more, be happy your car is simple. and vast less labor to fix.
PRNDL is just switch and they do wear out  inside, contacts. wear.

cheers ! to you and good luck.
