noises are near impossible to diagnose remotely , even with youtube sounds
sad to see the poor MAF like that bouncing to death... (the most expensive sensor on earth too)

did someone remove the cylinder head then put it back blocking the 0.050" oil gallery front left orifice now the cam runs dry..
never service any engine block or head then run it not checking for top end oiling, or boom , head is wrecked,  a 15min job to inspect the orifice and not put that
great Felpro gasket on backwards , this maker even marks which end is up.  if put on backwards it blocks the OIL GALLERY , port,

"FRONT" marks on gasket.stamping. do no ignore that.
off my engine or head pull page ( it unscrews with an allen hex key wrench, done at gallery cleaning step and put back)

a new engine
I prime the filter with oil fully and fastly spin it on to spec torque (turns counted from hit per box lid of filter came with)
I defeat spark, pull distributor side DC lower plug. (this act also kills injectors. too, no flooding of fuel)
next with oil pressure gauge in place of oil idiot lamp switch, left center block,
I crank for 50psi pressure, (cold oil hits max) https://www.fixkick.com/engine/97-motor-...ge_53.html
then off the valve cover
and crank again until all cam bearings show TOP END OIL FLOW, if not, STOP fix that first. (do not run any engine failing at least THIS TEST) or go broke fast.
