High Idle when hot - low power on up hill
#41
Thank you

Still a bit hard to understand but
ITS BETTER NOW Smile

So it would be better if the mechanic would use the freeze jumper when he adjuster the ignition timing by moving the ignition distributor?

And if the ignition timing seems good now - is it a good idea to put the freeze jumper so the ECU will accept that current ignition timing settings as static timing?

By the way - I just tried to to remove the EGR for cleaing ...
Aftre I removed the 2 main bolts of the EGR - it does not moved at all ...
I searched for ather bolts that need to be removed before taking of the EGR but didn't found...
Maybe it is a good idea to hit it with a hammer few times so it wil loose ?

just rap it with screw driver handle holding blade in hand
all gaskets love to stick , in fact some are designed to do just that.

Thank you.
About the ignition timing - is there a need to use timing freeze even if the ignition timing will be adjusted with strobe light ?
- Do I understood it correctly ?

And after (as it seems) the ignition timing was set up not correctly - how to reset it and set it up the right way ?

i can only show the real suzuki words, read them and ask questions for any step.
you must set timing (base static timing) or the ECU will advance wrong.
fact.
that is why you do it, just like all gas cars made from 1900 to about 2004 (suzuki evolution)

these are the SUZUKI words,

the DLC
black wire is ground
blue-red is freeze pin cooler, in all cases. (pin 4 to 5 in your case) 6pin DLC..

the cat back, system or sub parts, we are free to install on all cars, even smog reg, and tested. (USA)
cat to front is another matter.
my guess is you are not here.
so laws in your country may be different.??
but the engine don't care, nor the engine computer. ECU/PCM
try to keep in mind , most the restrictions are in the CAT.
the muffler flows, do little here, just the sound changes.

you also have an electric motor driven EGR main. (ours runs of vacuum magic,a "horrid" design)
so your EGR wont go dead with cat missing.
