Differential drain plug shows a lot of thread....
#1
Fixkick,

Does this drain plug look normal to you? There are quite a few threads showing. It must only go into the diff a short way?

It's stripped out and I'm going to weld a socket extension to it to pull it out. Fill plug was same!

thanks,
John

those plugs are pipe thread, tapered, so you cant screw it in to far, and lose in the gear cavity (horror)
tapered,
and is 10mm square socket, my hard to find part page , end shows 3 sources for this metric tool. $5
using 3/8" just wrecks it.
