JX inner shifter boot
#1
Hi,
My shifter boot is torn, I am seeking either a replacement or an alternative to OE.
The inner boot of my 4-door 1993 Sidekick JX is part number: 28136-85F40.
This part seems to by unavailable anywhere I've looked.
I have seen something somewhat similar for way too much money, that may or may not work.
Rather than buy a part from Sumatra that doesn't fit and wii end-up sitting on the shelf, I'd rather be certain of fit or fabricate something I know works.

Does anyone have a source, spare, or alternative solution?

Thanks,

body parts are not easy find now (31 years old) and most are used and a wreck now. shifting 1,000,000 times.
there are generic boots sold, have on in my 95 jeep, the whole 9 yards, inner/outer and new bracket.

you can RTV glue it to fix it, if not rubber cancer there, just cracks.
only on Ebay the dealer has none.
for NOS, uses or 3rd party makers, if are some.
googling endless,
most things RARE are very expensive, (supply and demand law)

right know every thing is too expensive, lots of scalpers in this business now.
my joke is $100 is only worth $10 now and falling/.
