Hello,

My booster blew a year ago. Did not notice a check valve. I could hear hissing sound in the cabin as vacuum was leaking trough the booster. Also ecu did not like it and idle rose to about 1200 RPM and higher when pressing brakes.

You could pull the vacuum hose off the booster (and plug the hose with wooden peg). Start up and see if the brakes are as hard without the booster. If the brakes require about same mount of force to work with, the booster probably broke.

I did buy new one with bit different part code (it was supposed to fit), but we actually had to hit the wheel well from engine bay side so that there were about 1" dent to make the new one fit. Smile

Pegging it.
