you cant time the dizzy 4 ways,
1 way is factory way, and the harness fits best this way.
but can be time all 4 ways, and run perfect. wires laid down to match.
id put the engine at TDC #1 firing at 0degrees on the crank mark/pulley.
then drop the dizzy to get 1pm., #1 post firing.

do not read the GM book ,it gets this wrong as does Haynes, Haynes copied GM lies. and publish them for 20 years. sad.
then use the timing light and freeze jumper to get exact, hot, 800rpm timing.
