yes, the 89/90 dizzy makes spark all by self, you can remove the ECU and the Dizzy will spark all day long... (cranked but no injection, this cars ECU is injection only system)
in fact it as advancing weights, in side the dizzy that can stick , (power killer) just like antique cars, and the vacuum advance there, can fail or leak.
a strobe light can see that all fail in jiffy.
