118 , means he ECT sensor is bad. ( stuck crazy too cold frigid)
1: disconnected connector to it (its behind top rear of engine head on water outlet port) 1.8L DOHC
2: pins on it are rusty.
3: wrong ECT installed
4: wires to it cut, damaged
5: or is just BAD ECT.
118 means it reads 5vdc, that means reads and open circuit, on hot engine it read 203F. (200 to 300 ohms hot it reads, cold it read. 70F 2350 ohms. room temp.
