i had no power going uphill,still don't but i got it to idle by disconnecting vac line to pressure regulator now it idles and i can give it gas and it doesn't die when i relase the gas pedal.i pushed the egr valve in while the kick was running and it did not affect it in the least,i am thinking something is plugged. i disconnected the cat and it didn't help. it starts right up after it cranks once and it has fresh gas and the old plugs are black which usually means running rich so i will change them next. i guess these 1.6 liter 16 valve engines are touchy.
