transfer case needle output needle bearing removal
#11
For sure noises can be misleading. The stetoscope was put on the lower tcase (loudest here) and on diff housing (not so loud) the stiff joint was on the diff housing end so I will remain hopeful that I have not done all this work to tcase for nothing. If it turns out the ujoint was the problem...well live and learn.

I found KOYO joints in my tracker and I am fairly certain they are from the factory. Some of the more specialized Suzuki businesses also fuel the idea/rumor that the KOYO joints are the best.

The friends I speak of buy all the reasonably priced parts cars they can find. They stay away from china junk parts and harvest the KOYO joints because they dont break like others they have tried and new KOYO joints are freaking expensive. These guys are testing parts just like the racers you reference...they are good guys who are not BS artist. So forgive me if I value their opinion. Anyway, I never intended to start a debate on Ujoint quality, I will be more careful in the future.

I will update when i make some progress.

Thanks
Scott
