if the ecu fails the 4 wire bench test
its a bad ECU
the bench test. is easy.
lacking connectors, ( have the proper jig as you can see in my photos)
lacking that.
only tiny what are called ball clips work
best is from inside ECU, at the 90 degree pins. seen there.
the green connector with large pins are the power pins. (and big outputs)
I dont have 90s book. so... no drawing of the connectors, for PIN ID (identification)
but the schematic is clear, once pins are ID'd, seen hear.
do you have an LED, and a , 12vdc power supply ?
the below is OUR ecu, there are over 50 ECUs used world wide, so........ mostly SMOG differences but , some are near same, 60a are near.
our 60a ecu.
B2 and B3 are ground. see that? to the minus power, of battery or a power pack, 12vdc, 2 to 5amps rated. or more. fused to 5amps. max.
B1 and B7 is power, 12vdc. +
B13 (CEL) to a LED (minus cathod side here LED then Plus LED pin anode and then a series resistor to 12vdc + supply (500ohm resistor)
B13 to a lamp rated at 0.1amps or less. never more !@!!! to 12vdc + pin.
turn on power,
CEL glows.
ground pin A15 (diag pin) CEL must flash or the ecu is BAD.
end test.
