94 tracker died while driving down the freeway

Driving down the freeway my 94 tracker died. Towed it home, checked the fuel pump relay and the fuse, both good. Didn't hear the fuel pump prime. Replaced the fuel pump, still won't start. Fuel pump primes when you turn the key now. Cranks just fine. Any ideas other than checking for spark? That's my next step for tomorrow.
