Engine turns over but wont start, no spark to plugs

no spark, top cause on any 1.6l G16A or B.
is cam belt bad. , snapped, slipped or shredded.
after 60k miles it does that and the CMP goes dead, not spinning or the ECU seeing the CMP acting so odd it cuts spark dead
