the ECU and the cruise box, talk back and forth.
the ECU seeing VSS1 (cable vss) 10mph too high and the TCM shows VSS2 in the 4 speed tranny is 10mph off, this can be a problem.
this is not documented to this level in ANY suzuki books.
but the transmissins shifts by VSS2, if VSS2 fails TCM switches to more crude, VSS1.(mag clicker reed switch tech)
the trans may shift more roughly or too soon
but what will cruise do? nobody know this , the guy who designed it is now retired in JAPAN. (lol)
having VSS1 and VSS2 not the same is not documented, (TCM shift by VSS2 normally)
the TCM talks to the ECU and the ECU talks to CRUISE brain. what happens here at this level is anyones guess.
the ECU even may tell the cruise to drop off line when engine hits 90% load. (on small engine this can happen al the time on hills) making cruise near worthless.
those are my ideas on cruise, very very rare option;.
the cruise control box is in way up high in the dash behind the cluster. just to the left of 4speed AT box TCM brain box.
the cruise switch main in in the dash, front. to the right of rear washer wiper switch. there.
the , brake switch is this part.
brake switch p/n suzuki #
cruise version 37740-60A20 (D01 is non-cruise version, cruise has 2 switches and IS NOT OPTIONAL
missing these ( suzuki does not sell the A20 SWITCH NOW. IT'S GONE. (DUAL SWITCH FOR CRUISE)
