Hood replacement?

I have a 1997 Geo Tracker and am getting ready to replace the hood, are there differences between any of them?they all look the same pretty much as far as i can tell but listings are saying they only fit 89-96 and 97-99? is this true?

good question and there are 4 generations, but the J18 sport will not fit, 96 to 98
trackers 96-98 will fit and sidekicks.
but the question is now to gen 1 or 2 fitments,  89/90 gen 1 and 91 to 95 gen2.
i can answer for part numbers.
gen1/2 same Pn
gen 3, different
99 up vitara ,different pn
that is all I can look up, call a auto wreckers (yard) they have a data base to look that up.
