Tomorrow, I will put everything back together, again, and get the engine running.
I will place the rotor so the tip is opposite the longest side of the distributor shaft. (what were they thinking?)
I'll test the TPS, bring the engine to temp, and check timing.
I am not opposed to resetting the distributor, 3 times if need be, to get the rotor alignment correct as required.
This whole nut-roll is way more involved than it needs to be.
I'll even make a video of the timing mark.
