Top speed problem
#1
Hi to everyone.

Suzuki Vitara, 1995, 1.6 16v (97 hp) 2d, cabrio.
Doesnt have catalysator anymore. Everything doing fine except short white smoke sequence at first ignition.

Since I have this car (2 years) I can't achieve better than 110-120 kmh (68-74 mph). Is it normal with this engine?

Can't be sure, havent driven 16v version. If this is even nearly correct, your 110-120 sounds bit slow (link says 150kmh / 93mph)

corrrect https://www.ultimatespecs.com/car-specs/...6-16v.html

I have 1991 1.6 8v (80hp) 2d and it does okeish 130.. my top speed was 135kmh and it was still slightly accelerating, but I decided not to push it as it was quite near to go from small overspeeding fine category to high one. I would guess that if I had stayed on accel it would have probably risen to about 140.
