ive never run fed ecu in cal body to do that test. (the 95 is really a cal body, due to them moving all the CALIF features to the 95, egr, exh, ECU ,etc.0
now we know 53 fails both ways

fed to cal.

no, the fuel gauge has nothing at all to do with the ECU, ever. this year. sorry.
the fuel gauge test is easy and on my pages.
IT CAN ONLY BE bad sender, bad wires to it or the gauge bad (rare)
