1.6L 16 valve camshaft questions
#1
I would like to find a (new) camshaft for my 1994 Tracker (USA) 1.6L 16 valve motor. I have not found any for sale. Do you know of any sources?

Are the specs for 1994 thru 1998 camshafts the same?

Thank You for your great web site- it is a remarkable source!

G16 parts are hard to find.
try car-parts.com, (using the dash)
wreckers net.
your welcome.

if in use, the 8v is only sold 91 to 95. EPA banned after here.
so there are no 96s or 98s, as those are all 16v cams. now.
so lets look at 89 to 95
the 89/90 runs a mechanical, distributor and unique gear drive. so dont work... (the ECU does not generate spark at all these 2 years)
that is a -60a00 cam.
in 1991, EFI spark and new cam and gear on end, and is the -56B00 cam. 5 year run here.
if shopping outside, usa, the answers will be long.... and different...

Staying with just the 16 valve camshafts- are they the same from the 1992 thru say 1998 (pre OBD2 to OBD2)

in side usa? i cant look up all 99.
same prefix
-57b00 92-93
-58b00 94 to 1998

no idea at all the difference.
there are more variances world wide. (some engine are smog controlled others not)
for example see a 58B10 in SPainish, Santana 1998
