the full steps are here
http://www.fixkick.com/t-belt/16-fast-belt-install.html

there are false marks, the cam cog is used on 2 engines. so has false marks.

yes, all marks are set to 12pm.
using E marks. (ignore all "I" ) marks.
the page has very clear photos.

you now have your distributor timed to a wrong cam,,,, so be sure to time the DISTRIB last/.

this test proves the cam is slipped.

if a honda, it be all over.....

fixed.

i understand that the distributor cap has three different settings for the time. i had it timed and helped a bit but still didnt help with thye rev or throttle responce. i was told that it could be the distribuor itself went bad on it.

only clone rotors do that.
never stock or Bosch
1; WAY FAILS start car
2: way 2, gross misfiring on all cylinders and at least 1 dead
3: runs like factory

95 16v
the distrib, usually never fails, just the wire sets (HV) spark plugs, cap, and rotor
the CMP is solid life time part.
the cam timing belt is #1 reason for timing to be off,

is it misfiring,? do you get code 12s running? (DLC diag jumper)
if not misfiring its fueling issues.
if compression is good, 150PSI and up.
