Camshaft Position Sensor 1998 1.8
#1
I changed the o-ring on my 1998 1.8 liter camshaft position sensor and after reinstallation the sidekick won't start.
Ran great before albeit with an oil leak. I carefully marked the sensor before removal. I only goes in one was as the coupling slot is offset.
When I look online for a replacement I find a Spectra brand  PN: SZ02 for $55 that is said to fit a 1996 - 1997 but not a 1998.
The same site offers a Spectra PN: 31-S2400 for $125 that is sadi to fit 1996-1997-1998.
One site sells only the module without housing for $45 but excludes the 1998 year in it's fitment list.
Other sites (Ebay) shows PN 31-S2400 fitting various Suzuki from 1996 through 2004 with the exclusion of 1998.
Is there something different/special about the 1998? or will the less expensive unit fit the 1998? And, what could possibly cause the unit to fail from simply changing the o-ring?

Suggested sources?

no too store on earth have the same price, not even dealers.
some of those you posted are rebuilt parts, with makers own number
and clones.
the sensor also (suzuki real) is used on Suzuki car, RH420 (j20 engine ) and SV420G, (j20 again)
all cars up to 2005,
my like shows that.
