95 tracker has spark wet plugs no start
#1
I have a 95 geo tracker with a 96 16v motor. It ran fine for about a year and half. My problem started the other day when it was 0 degrees outside. It wont start. I have spark at all four plugs. The plugs are getting wet with fuel. It sounds like it wants to start but wont. Gets closer with the gas pedal to the floor. The tach needle does not move at all when cranking. Tried spraying starting fluid in the intake and still no fire. Jumped diagnostic pins and have 12 flashing even after cranking. Can anybody point me it the right direction?

hello SLIM!@
spark timing. (will go retarded grossly )
if off spark timing , while cranking, the cam belt slipped.. try your timing light.. i bet it slipped.
the tacho might not with low cranking volts, it only moves .3 on scale if you have full voltage, it's an analog tacho and very finicky in that regard. just it twitching at all , is s good sign.
the tach signal is good or the ECU would throw 41 or 42s, the ECU will do so even if 1 pulse in 6 is missing.... i trust it.

i think its the belt. or sheared key on crank snout.
hope im dead wrong , latter..
regards.

So i figured i would let you know, after two days of cranking over and no start, it finally started with no reason. A mechanic friend of mine stopped over to look at it and when he went to crank it, it started. So i am guessing it does not like me and i am looking forward to future problems. Thanks for the quick feed back i was digging my timing light out to check when he came over. With it running my timing is still bang on. Thanks again.

no one loves intermittent, they make the car scary to drive. when will it hit next.
id open the lid of the ECU and look at those caps
black are they and with rubicon on sided, they need to be kicked to the curb, fast... they are hopeless, id did see one set good, it sat on the shelf at 70F for 20 years.
but not in cars.
look at them.
its not hard work.

for sure its lost spark (or random) or loss of fuel , you found it flooding I , i go for lost spark, or ECU loosing its noodle and firing at random, it does do that with bad caps.
seen it.
what happens is the ECU keeps rebooting over and over, disrupting proper spark timig. and the starter makes it 10x worse due to low voltage cranking,
its just a $3 fix, use my brand of caps listed there, high qual caps.

c103, id bet that one has reached, the end of the line, its good for, wall art. or ground fill.
