91 5 speed leek - barnbiketom - 01-05-2015 Tomorrow I'm going to look AGAIN for the leak. I have the NAPA Premium GL3-4-5 ready to go in again, but you make mention of some rubber PLUGS? that fall out? is there a picture of the outside of the trans where i can see? it is leaking and I do NOT want to run it low.... RE: 91 5 speed leek - fixkick - 01-05-2015 yes, up top front , not easy to reach, at all http://www.fixkick.com/tranny/plugs.JPG glued in with contact cement. make sure the dizzy and its base dont leak, seen as wet oil on the bell housing. NOT EASY to reach. understatement HAAAAAA well I inserted a SILICONE plug AKA powder coat plug.. hope it slows down the leek... as I am not about to drop the trans (AGAIN) to plug it!!! but the leak is on the LF side.. the PLUG WAS GONE the RH side OK maybe I will CUT the floor to access this plug???? NO PLUG. (MISSING) left side only rh side looks good ?? I DON'T SEE A RH PLUG??? inserted powder coat plug pressed in and seems tight... \ I will keep looking at this leak.. put in 3+quarts of NAPA premium |
